The Saginaw Promise invites you to attend the “Power of a Promise” Luncheon Fundraiser being held on Thursday, June 27 at Horizons Conference Center. Since 2012, the Saginaw Promise has awarded $830,000 in scholarships to 492 students with the goal for every graduating student to earn a program certificate or degree.

Advances in technology are rapidly changing workforce needs and required job skills; the educational community is responding. “The Power of a Promise” Luncheon Fundraiser features a distinguished panel to address what education is doing to train and prepare tomorrow’s workforce with required skills and knowledge.

The panel consists of Russell Davis, (Michigan State Director, Unites States Department of Labor, Office of Apprenticeship), Dr. Jean Goodnow, (President of Delta College), Jennifer Geno, (Director of Career and Technical Education, CEPD 23 at Saginaw ISD) and Joshua Little, (Principal, Saginaw Career Complex), Dr. David Callejo Perez (Associate Provost and Interim Dean of the College of Education, Saginaw Valley State University); the discussion will be moderated by Dr. Ramont Roberts, (Superintendent of the Saginaw Public School District).

Luncheon festivities will also showcase Saginaw Promise impact and feature a Saginaw Promise scholar, who will speak about the impact of the Saginaw Promise to her education and future career.

Doors open at 11:00 AM. Tickets may be purchased for $100 per person or a table of eight may be purchased for $800. Tickets include lunch and program.
